What a good unit does

- Stays shallow enough that the passage and the chairs still work

Glass front, solid front, or both
Glass or fluted shutters are for what you are happy to dust and look at. Solid shutters and drawers are for everyday steel and the heavy dinner set. We write which shelves are which. A pretty upper with no plan for the heavy plates is how the lower doors end up overstuffed within a month.
Older dining walls in Fort, Dadar, and Bandra are often out of plumb. A glass door shows that gap. We pack and scribe, and that labour is on the quote, not discovered on install day.

When to add it to the kitchen, and when not to
If we are already measuring a modular kitchen, the crockery unit can be a line on that same quote. It is still named on its own. If the kitchen is fine and only the dining wall is the problem, it is a furniture piece — you do not have to rebuild the kitchen to clear the table.
What the price depends on
Our indicative kitchen band starts at ₹85,000 for a roughly 10 ft straight run. That figure is the kitchen, not a crockery unit, and it is not a city average. Read modular kitchen cost in Mumbai. - Size. A 350 mm passage unit is not a 600 mm sideboard
- Front. Solid laminate is a different shutter from clear or fluted glass
- Inside. Fixed shelves, or drawers that can take a stack of plates
- Light. We can leave a channel. An electrician connects it. A lit unit is not “free wiring”
- Hardware. Hinge grade, especially on a tall glass door

No. A crockery unit usually sits in the dining or living room, for plates and glasses, often with a glass front. A pantry is tall kitchen storage for groceries. We build both. Say which room the cabinet is in and we will quote the right one.
Yes. If the kitchen is staying, the dining unit is its own measured piece. If we are already drawing the kitchen, we can put the unit on that quote as its own line so it is not buried in a lump sum.
That is the point of measuring. We check the table and the passage on site. A showroom depth that blocks the chair is the wrong unit, and we will not draw it that way.
